A weekend in Pembrokeshire, Wales

We decided to have a weekend away at a friends cottage out it Pembrokeshire. We arrived late Friday evening after driving from London. Exhausted from the trip we made a fire but not before chopping our own wood from the shed! Fire completed, we opened a bottle (or a few) of wine and snacked on cheese and crackers.

First thing in the morning donned our wellies and slugged through muddy cow fields. We hiked to the Llawhaden Castle ruins. We sat together with our flasks of tea and biscuits and watched the early morning sun over the ruins.

That night we carved pumpkins for Halloween and made smores by the fire. We drank more wine and gazed at the stars - sometimes I forget how bad the light pollution is in London!
