Helsinki, Finland : Part 01
From here we continued our walk through to the area of Töölö where you can find not only the Sibelius Monument in the park but also the incredible Temppeliaukio Church. Designed by the brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, the church was built directly into solid rock.
For lunch we headed down to the Brooklyn Cafe for a tasty bagel and coffee. Their freshly pressed juices are delicious too!
It was much warmer than we anticipated Helsinki to be and after all the walking we did that morning, we decided to put our feet up and have a cocktail... okay maybe a few... at The Cock. It was fantastic to sit outside in the sun watching the world go by.
From The Cock we headed back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. We had reindeer at the wedding and decided to have it again. Ravintola Aino was just around the corner from our hotel so we headed there for our second helping of reindeer and mash with lingonberries. After a stroll around the streets, we headed back to our hotel and called it a night.
